Dancing with the Staff
This year's Dancing with the Staff competition will be held on Thursday, Nov 19 at 7 PM in the high school auditorium. Tickets are only $5 and may be purchased in all lunch periods at the door on the night of the show.There will be seven amazing acts, a dazzling opening number, and LIVE backstage interviews with each group as they exit the stage; the interviews will be projected onto a wall in the auditorium. November’s drill will be a full-scale exercise and will involve the simulation of an active shooter acted by a Franklin Twp Police Officer. This scenario will require the school to go into lockdown mode and an evacuation to the football stadium. The purpose of this drill is to gauge how quickly the students, staff, and hallways can be cleared in time of crisis.
Coordinated by Cpl. Vince DiPietro Township of Franklin Police and Delsea High School vice-principal George Passante, the crisis drill will be a multi-agency operation. With our aging facilities, there are things that need to be fixed and updated in both the middle school and the high school. Among these improvements is a sorely needed new roof and updated heating and air conditioning systems for both buildings. PLEASE come to a work session scheduled for in the high school media center. Attention Parents! Delsea Regional HS is extending an invitation to Parent Conferences10\17\13 from here at the HS. Every student will be given a copy of their schedule on Wednesday 10\16\12 in homeroom. Please ensure that your student gives you this schedule, it will assist you with your conferences.
Prior to parent conferences, at, our guidance department will provide an overview of both the college application process and financial aid in the high school auditorium. Although this presentation is intended for parents of seniors, all parents are welcome to attend.
- Every student will be given a copy of their schedule to bring home for the parents. Please look for them. Extra copies of student schedules will be available at school as well.
- For the parents of Delsea 7th graders: there will be two informational sessions regarding our 1:1 Chromebook initiative. The Chromebook is a lightweight personal computer that all 7th graders will be receiving for their own use at school and home. These informational sessions will be held at 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM in the middle school media center. Please plan on attending one of these sessions to sign-off on your child's Chromebook. Remember your student will not receive the Chromebook until a parent has attended a session and signed off.
- Every student will be given an extra copy of their schedule in homeroom so please bring it with you. It will assist you with your visitation to each of your child's classrooms.
- Parents of Seniors, there will be a special Senior Parent Meeting prior to Back to School Night at 5:30 PM in the Auditorium. Spring testing for all 9th 10th & 11th grade students will take place in the high school on March 5th, 6th, and 7th. Seniors who have yet to pass one or more sections of the HSPA will re-test. Please get a good night's rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time. If you would like to work on practice HSPA questions, click here . Volunteer prison inmates will share their stories about prison life and the decisions they made that got them there. The goal of the program is to keep children away from drugs and alcohol and educate them about how to make smart choices.

The Board of Review, convened pursuant to NJSA 18A:13-56 to consider the petition of Franklin Township (Gloucester) to proceed to referendum on a withdrawal from Delsea Regional School District, will meet and hold a public hearing onWednesday, August 15, 2012 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Gloucester County Vocational-Technical School, 1340 Tanyard Road, Sewell, NJ. 08080. The board will hear comments from the interested parties and individual community members.
Individual community members wishing to provide comments at the public hearing will be required to sign up in advance. The sign-up sheets will be available beginning at 3:15 p.m. No formal action will be taken at the hearing.
